These birds are the result of a purpose-built breeding program, thoughtful daily care, and years of selection for temperament, egg color, and reliability. They are ideal for families, boutique backyard flocks, and homesteads that value quality over quantity.
Our Easter Eggers are intentionally bred to lay a rich, naturally colorful range of eggs, with a strong emphasis on:
Olive green
Blue and blue-green
Deep chocolate and dark brown
We primarily use Marans, Cream Legbar, and Ameraucana roosters, chosen specifically for:
Egg color depth and consistency
Strong laying performance
Gentle, people-friendly temperament
The result is a flock that produces unique color combinations and birds that are calm, curious, and a joy to handle — distinctly Two Little Acres.
Our pullets are:
Pasture-raised during the day
Fed high-quality organic feed
Never given medications or antibiotics
Exposed to sunshine, fresh air, and low-stress environments

We offer Easter Egger pullets from 6 weeks to 4 months old, with pricing that reflects care invested, reliability, and peace of mind.
0-1 month old— $10 each (straight run)
2 month old — $20 each (straight run)
3 months old — $30 each (female)
4 months old — $35 each (female)
• 6 & 8 week birds are sold straight run only — we make our best educated guess, but sex is not guaranteed.
• 3 & 4 month birds are sold as pullets — and if one is later identified as male, we replace it with a 3–4 month hen and take back the rooster.

NPIP stands for the National Poultry Improvement Plan, a federally recognized program administered at the state level—in North Carolina, through the NC Department of Agriculture. AI refers to testing for Avian Influenza, a critical component of modern poultry health management.
When a hatchery is NPIP & AI certified, it means the flock is registered, monitored, and regularly tested under strict health and biosecurity standards. This certification is not automatic and not casual it requires ongoing compliance, documentation, and state oversight.
