? Duckling FAQs
How clean are ducklings?
Ducklings are messy by nature due to their love of water. With the provided setup and regular refreshes, cleanliness is easy to manage.
Where should I keep the brooder?
Indoors, in a warm, draft-free area that’s easy to clean (laundry room, mudroom, kitchen corner). Avoid carpeted areas.
Can ducklings fly?
No. Baby ducklings cannot fly.
Why do they empty the waterer so fast?
They splash and play in water for fun — not because they’re thirsty. This is normal behavior.
Can ducklings go in the bathtub or sink?
We do not recommend bathtub or sink play. Ducklings can get cold quickly and young ducklings have difficulty regulating their body temperature.
Can ducklings be kept outdoors?
No. Ducklings in this experience must be kept indoors at all times.
Are ducklings harder than chicks?
Yes. Ducklings require more cleanup than chicks due to water play, but care is still straightforward with the supplies provided.
