Two Little Acres was created out of a deep belief that childhood should be slower, more intentional, and rooted in real connection. As a former pediatric occupational therapy practitioner and mother, I saw how powerful meaningful, hands-on experiences can be for children when they are given time, space, and trust.
Two Little Acres exists to offer small-group, thoughtfully curated experiences that allow children to form genuine connections with baby animals, nature, and themselves. Our goal is not to entertain, but to nurture confidence, empathy, regulation, and joy through purposeful play.

A boutique homestead located in Southwest Charlotte—a small, intentional farm where baby animals are our specialty.
A homestead is a home with a small farm, not a large commercial operation or drop in petting zoo. Everything we offer is intentionally scaled to remain calm, personal, and meaningful. From baby chicks and ducklings to bunnies and goats, children learn gentle handling, animal care, and real responsibility in an environment designed for connection rather than crowds.

Two Little Acres operates through pre-registered, reservation-only experiences. We host thoughtfully curated classes, camps, private on-farm birthday parties, and monthly events and we are not open to the public outside of scheduled reservations.
We also offer at-home experiences such as Hatch-a-Chick, Hatch-a-Duck, and Bunny Hosting on select dates, with all details provided at booking. Every experience is intentionally designed to be premium, personal, and rooted in respect—for children, animals, and the pace of childhood.

Hi! I’m Lindsey, the founder and owner of Two Little Acres! With a background in pediatric occupational therapy and the lived experience of raising my own children, I’ve always been drawn to environments that support regulation, confidence, and growth through real, hands-on experiences.
Two Little Acres was created as a place where children are trusted with responsibility, allowed to explore at their own pace, and invited into meaningful connection with animals, nature, and one another. The farm began during a season of homeschooling and deep presence, shaped by a desire to preserve home, childhood, and a sense of steadiness during a time of change.
What started as a small homestead has grown into an intentionally designed space offering curated experiences centered around baby animals, sensory-rich play, and thoughtful rhythms. Every detail, from how animals are cared for to how experiences unfold, is guided by a commitment to calm, care, and purpose. Here, quality is never rushed, and nothing exists simply for spectacle.
Today, Two Little Acres is a community grown quietly through word-of-mouth—families finding one another through shared values and a shared longing for something more meaningful in a busy world. We believe childhood deserves to be protected, animals deserve to be treated with respect, and experiences should feel personal, not crowded. Two Little Acres is not about doing more; it’s about doing things well, with intention, heart, and reverence for the small moments that shape who children become.
